Aransas Area Fishing Getting Back on Track Following Hurricane Harvey
Aransas Pass guide Capt. Marvin Engel of Big M's Guide Service said he and several others in the Aransas area are back up and running and finally fishing again following Hurricane Harvey. Boat traffic has still been fairly light on Aransas area bays, but the fishing has been steady, with redfish working the flats and around Traylor Island. Big bull reds have been common catches around the jetties, while trout have been steady along the channel edges, as well as over grass flats and at the jetties. With October right around the corner, some of the area's best fishing action of the year is about to begin.
