Capt Gencho Buitureira says fishing is on fire in the Lower Laguna Madre. Gencho has been guiding clients to mixed bags of black drum, mangrove snapper, speckled trout, redfish, jack crevalle and other species. The weather is hot and dry in Deep South Texas. Mornings have been calm, while afternoons have been windy. Regardless of time of day or wind velocity, fishing has been good and should get even better.
